5 Tricks to Catch More Fish & Get More Scrap in Rust!

You can earn crazy amounts of scrap while fishing with a fishing rod, but if you don't know what you're doing and snap your line and lose more fish, you may end up being disappointed by the yield. These 5 tricks will help ensure you maximize how many fish you're catching.

you missed a few things: (1) if you are using level 5 bait to catch fish, and you catch a small trout, immediately take out your level 5 bait and put in your small trout, as this guarantees you get a big fish. aka don't save your small trout. (2) you can fish off of fishing village, or on top of a submarine very far from shore, to avoid having to build a massive fishing base (3) if you fish in nonconfined area, throw your fishing line out far. this prevents the fish from moving diagonal. since the fish will only move side to side, you also only have to move side to side. this tires out of the fish and doesn't tire out your fishing rod. then when the fish is tired, you can reel it in easily because it is too tired to cannot sprint diagonally. (4) do not use a fishing rod if it is low durability as it will start shaking a lot faster. i only use it from full to 2/3 max durability then i repair it or throw it away. (5) all levels 5 baits are the same. raw pork, raw bear meat, and raw fish will all give you the same results. (6) if you want to fish without anyone bothering you, try not to fish at a fishing village that is near oil rigs or underwater labs. and if you want to fish for multiple days, avoid fishing village near sources of sulfur: giant excavator, sulfur quarry, snow. (7) some fishing villages do not have deep water so you cannot catch big fish in them. this is most likely a bug. but check how deep the water is in your fishing village before you build near there. (8) if you want to fish for blue cards, just fish at bandit camp, and use the drone marketplace to mail blue cards to your actual base (9) if you want to recycle and you built at fishing village, you can use a submarine and go to the recycler at harbor. if there are people there, you can easily escape on your submarine. (10) you can easily hide your submarine underwater in an underwater bunker. one of those bunkers that opens when you destroy twig, which will release your submarine.

I had no idea about the catching the same fish twice thing. also would fishing hole model do you think is best? You seem to really like the 3 triangle one. I've never liked the triangle square one because you can't tell which way the fish is fighting to pull in the opposite direction.
