To this day you have taught me so much, and here I am at Nearly 26 years old, having watched you since the channel's inception, and still learning something new. Thank you, Mark.

I've been watching your videos for 8-9 years now, ever since I was a tiny art noob with no talent whatsoever. Here I am now as a professional artist 🙏

Literally my drawing inspiration when YouTube still ran on cat videos. Thank you so much Mark for all your great advice and art artwork. I literally draw my sketchy lines the exact way you do, and I think it’s cause of the shear amount of Crilley I used to watch back in the day

I made too many drawings with fine details first, this is important to remember to do it like this video demonstrates with large forms lightly rendered, then small details after. When I observe this convention I always appreciate my efforts more. Thanks MC, for the reminder.

5:00 - I'm always hesitant to erase part of my drawing to have something else overlapping it... (especially when I've already added details)
But I'm gradually getting over it because it really helps to give the drawing a sense of depth and three-dimensionality, it can make the illustration look even better!

Thank you Mark for showing us your secrets. I really like hearing your voice. I don't draw (I'd love to, but I feel like I am too scared and intimidated to try), but watching your videos and listetning to you talk and explain your techniques somehow calms me down. Cheers from Poland, thank you for being YOU for so many years. Take care!

I started watching when you only had about 10 videos posted and I loved every single one. I learned so much from you all those years ago. Now I'm back and realizing how much I still have to learn. I'm so impressed at how much you've grown as an artist . Thank you for everything

It's so awesome you're still making videos, you're a huge inspiration to me and the reason I started drawing art, particularly anime art. I found your channel when i was about 12, I am 23 now! I had a bunch of your novels and your "how to draw manga" books when I was in high school. Thank you dude, you've created soooo many manga artists. I'm a professional now

also this video is STILL very helpful, even with all of my training. You teach more in a single video than the all classes i took combined

Can we appreciate that this man has been making videos for a little over a decade, hasn't updated his quality or changed his video style and yet is still teaching and entertaining effectively

You rock, sir. I do large-scale murals, and whenever I get a mental block, the teaching on your channel always saves me.

I 💖 your videos. I’ve been drawing and painting, off and on, nearly all of my life as a hobby(now 65), and I still learn something new from you. (PS I’ve bought several of your books — they are great!)

Mark, thank you for doing this with pencil and paper. I have only ever seen this kind of tutorial in digital art and it is amazing to see the process you use!
