Aerial footage shows Extinction Rebellion protesters blocking Tower Bridge in London

Extinction Rebellion protesters have blocked Tower Bridge in London with a van and caravan. Activists are also lying on the ground near the London landmark to protest against government investment in fossil fuels as part of the group's fifth wave of mass protests on environmental issues.

Demonstrators were seen at the end of the bridge in Southwark wearing aprons emblazoned with 'Tell the Truth' and with teapots with 'Deniabilitea' written on them. Activists also staged an overnight protest at the Science Museum in London over the tourist hotspot’s partnership with the oil company Shell on an exhibition called Our Future Planet

We are one of the most eco friendly countries in Europe. We lead the way in reducing our carbon footprint. But you gotta realise change is going to take many years as changing things such as power stations is slow and expensive. Not to mention renewables can't meet demand. Other things like electric cars are still too expensive and manufacturing one produces the equivalent pollution as driving fossil fueled car around for years, then you got to dispose of toxic materials from the batteries when they are scrapped. This is why i don't get their protests, go and protest china and the USA who are by far the biggest polluters. Now you made everybody late and then caused even more pollution with your protests.
