Magic Mesh Review and Install

I have an office separate from my house and the door is a strange size. Rather than spend a lot of money trying to get a custom screen door made or redoing the entire door opening I decide to give Magic Mesh a try.

In this Magic Mesh Review and installation video you can see me install the Magic Mesh from start to finish. See how it works and hopefully decide if it will work for you.

For those of you in Canada here is the link to buy direct from the manufacturer from up there.

This review defiantly made me change my mind about purchasing it. I live in the Marianas Islands so we'll see if it works out well with the wind that blows here.  It's naturally warm here all the time so I'm not too concerned. When it comes in I will update.

Add some tacks and it'll stay up forever. A decent gust or breeze will blow it open. It's not a screen door. It's a $10 piece of mesh to keep bugs out, most of the time. For that which it was intended it works fine.

I bought on for our back door because I love for the breeze to come in without all the bugs. We had a little harder time putting it because our back door is different. But so far so good.

30 seconds explaining what his problem is then the rest is just talking about the product.
This is exactly what I would expect from a video titled "Magic Mesh Review and Install".
It's not like he's talking about his sister's cat or how his car is running these days.

Good review mate, thanks

I bought this, and it's a bitch to install. The velcro strips don't stick, even after cleaning the surface. But they include tacks that you can easily press into soft wood. I used those.

It's actually pretty impressive. The cats finally figured it out, and if you install it right, the thing really does click back together with the magnets when the animals want to go out. Sometimes you have to push it back together after people pass through, but it works for the most part.

Got a few of these really cheap and being very soon. Have a screen door that's a pain and just comes of track too easily. Being up on a tall Hill is very windy so have to treat it. Guy that comes to place to camp had on camper and seemed worth a shot and he said were ok and some pointers for us. Oh well 2 for like $25 may not be too bad or just fix screen up if nothing else.

The idea is amazing. But ours completely fell apart in just under a week. It starts to tear where the fabric connects to the velcro. The problem is that the Velcor is stronger than the stitching. So all the going in and at pulls at the velcro and it basically falls apart.

Walgreens is where we got ours and they were 14.99 so not bad.

Also, it does leave a few areas for bugs to get in, mostly the bottom. (Why isn't the bottom magnet on the bottom?)

Either way this thing is pretty cool. I used to let my two cats in and out 30-40 times a day having to open the screen door. Now that they figured it out they go in and out hundreds of times a day and I don't have to do shit. Order it on Amazon if you want it, it's half the price.

I just put mine up. Even though it's on a sliding door and it looks ugly like that but, it'll do for now. It was free, so I'm not complaining

Another way I had to use JB weld after finding the right place for the Velcro strips. First off I found the place for the strips to be applied on the wall.  I then took one part of the strip and used the JB Weld to adhere it to the wall above the frame and to the furthest right of the frame, leaving the left frame connected.  After it dried I then adjusted attaching the Velcro... Worked well after using JB Weld.. Do not attach the curtain yet.... Use one side Velcro first so that the jb weld can cure, otherwise the weight will make it slide down before drying.

Never mind the Magic Mesh - what a hot man.

I think the bugs can still crawl in through the sides?

i had to buy and return two magic meshes bc the first time the magnets were weak and the second time one side of the mesh was 6 or 7 inches longer than the other side. third time it seem to look ok and it is still hanging on to dear life on my door after four months. it was a great idea but its so cheaply made that it will probably only last you one summer. this product is not worth 15$ more like $6

let's sum it up... use tacks or other secure tactics while attaching it to the door frame area.... if magnets are not strong enough to hold it together go buy stronger ones and then use them

It's because he lives out in a field in the middle of the country. Not alot of people to talk to out there.
