I had a 10x60 slab i needed installed. Did a bit if research, found the cost per sq foot poured by concrete companies in the area. Got quotes from 4 different companies. They all wanted 2.5x cost of materials minimum.

Watched several youtube videos, dug my plot, leveled it, built my forms, added gravel and rebar, had a truck pour the concrete. Finished the conrete and everything myself. Looked beautiful. Day 1 was 6 hours of work to get the prep done, day 2 was the pour. Saved 4grand.

The truck being late is so true. When i did concrete we would always have mud 1hr before the intended time to make sure we had it on time. While we waited for the truck we would either take a quick break to prep for it or just do our double-tripple checks "bs around" 😂 but when mud was there it was straight haul ass and no sleeping because mud waits for no one 😂
