When I woke up yesterday, my first thought was "Where is Dabchick???" No joke. After not hearing anything for so long, I was very concerned. I can now sleep peacefully again, knowing that he is only trapped in the matrix. Thank goodness.

Dear puppeteer,
don't feel trapped by the bird's popularity. it's not just the charm of the dabchick character. The new puppets are marvelous but they don't yet have a sense of humor or get into adventures, or interact with the personalities around them, though they are really great at song and dance. laughter, character traits, and personality bring a puppet to life just as much as beautiful design and movement.

As a man with a bird puppet, albeit larger, I’m glad to see dabchick is on the mend. All of your creations are such an inspiration for me, and I’d love to be able to make some of the more fiddly bits like you make.
I’ve been hoping you do a breakdown of one of the larger puppets you made for the stage show, because having all of the fundamentals of puppetry in a one handed mechanism is exactly the kind of insanity I love in puppetry and ventriloquism.

Idea! Turn the old puppet into a zombie variant of himself, adding an extra pinch of story as the zombie hides in places and comes to the realization he's been replaced

Note: It is absolutely vital to the process to throw the packing paper at your cat, else the device will refuse to assemble correctly until more dire sacrifices are made.
