I love the way the puppet never stops being “in-character”. If something needs explanation, the character demonstrates in the way they would. Even as he stands up to turn off the lights the puppet skips off camera.
You can tell there’s a very genuine and real love for the magic of storytelling and character movement, it’s honestly making me envious of how easily he can keep the character as the character

The little kick at 1:06 literally made me gasp out loud, it was so real looking! The character has such fantastic movement he’s such a master puppeteer. It would be interesting to see a movie similar to stop motion done with puppets like this

My last gf genuinely hated puppets and puppetry, made it so i couldnt show her some of my faves, like Dark Crystal. Wish i had managed to show her this. She kind of accused me of LOVING puppets and I denied it, but I think i do actually love it...
The artistry and imagination and, dare I say, fun of it all, is so amazing and inspiring.
