Naval Legends: Submarine B-413

The Project 641 submarines became a symbol of the Cold War, just like the American U-2 reconnaissance aircraft, or Soviet missiles on Cuba.

Thanks to engineering solutions that were modern for their time and the materials used, these submarines could endure more, had a greater operational range, and were capable of diving deeper than the subs that preceded them. They also carried more deadly armament and the crew enjoyed much better living conditions than submarines had provided with in the past. These ships were created to conduct strategic missions, such as disrupting oceanic communications from any potential adversaries, which is why the submarines of this class were built in large quantities. The project turned out to be highly effective, and sailors greatly appreciated it from the very start.

Probably be the most broken sub in the game when added.

Why are we still not getting the literal hero of the pacific war, the USS Enterprise CV-6

Ah yes I'm glad we're getting detailed stories of famous warships like this which performed heroic deeds like "Sailing to the Caribbean one time" and "Not getting shot at by an American Destroyer because there was no war". Imagine how boring a video on something like Warspite or Scharnhorst would be?

Dear WoWs Team: Since you introduced this series you never ever have featured a German naval legend. Bismarck, Tirpitz, Gneisenau, Scharnhorst, Graf Spee, etc etc...

There are so many actual naval legends that have a real service record and did something in combat - and Germany is just an example. Take the Royal Navy, USN or any other.

. A soviet post war Uboat that did nothing?! How on earth is this a legend?

Dont get this wrong, your content is really well made and you can do super cool stuff like the convoy series etc. But please, for the sake of the community that is sick of that constant soviet favoured stuff, give us some variations and honor the real navies out there and not some fake legends or ships that noone ever heard before and did nothing but shoot some torpedoes at fishing boats or do some patrolling...

(Still this is not meant to be an offense to all the brave sailors in this video!)

Are the criteria for a Russian ship being classified as a 'Naval Legend' different from those of any other country? First Soyuz, now this. No bias here komrad!

I love all Military History and this was a great, albeit short, story of a Cold War Instrument of War, that thankfully has been saved for future generations to see and learn from.

Very interresting video about this submarine! :) How do you get the archive footage like them at 8:59, 9:13, 12:14 or 18:30? Can we find them on Internet?

What an amazing story. Its great to hear this from the Russian perspective.

Imagine putting out another Naval Legends of some Soviet sub instead of actual Naval Legends from Germany, the most decorated ships of the US Navy or god forbid a French or Italian ship. There is 3 British ships, if this keeps up the HMS will be less represented than Soviet subs that sank fishermen or just kind of snuck away from a destroyer that didn't even shoot them.

Good to hear about some lesser-known naval history other than the standard heavyweights.

No Soviet bias here... A Foxtrot? Legend? Really?

It's still a shame, that Seattle wasn't able to keep her Foxtrot class sub museum. The people that ended up with it, let it disintegrate until it was scrapped this year. Damned Queen Mary museum.

Personally, I think it's rather hypocritical to praise WG for their documentaries on ships of other nations, a few of which had largely peacetime careers or otherwise didn't engage in actions of note, and then criticize them for wanting to talk about some of the ships that Russia is fortunate enough to have preserved as museums. They made a video about the Battle of Tsushima, the worst Russian naval defeat in history, so I think they're entitled to talk about some of the more significant Russian ship designs occasionally. That being said, I agree it would be nice to see some videos about the Kriegsmarine, or some of the more storied Japanese ships.

It’s amazing how so many vessels with such power to kill are so beautiful and graceful.
