Just because their life is worse doesn't make anyone's life any better. Sure they struggle with very physical problems but a lot of others struggle with mental problems that also can't be fixed very easily. Someone can have a bad life and think their life sucks and someone else can have their "life suck" to but that doesn't mean their life is worse then the other person's life. Nobody has it worse, and nobody has it easier.

My life does suck
I no longer trust my parents as much as I once did. Living with anxiety, depression, and ADHD makes it difficult for me to regulate my emotions, but no matter how many times I try to explain this to them, they never seem to understand. When they yell at me, I break down in tears because I suffer from vocal abuse phobia—a deep fear of confrontations, scolding, and raised voices. Being the youngest of three children, I often feel insignificant, as though I am the least important. My brother is away at college, but when something goes wrong with his apartment, my father tends to take out his frustrations on me. It’s not physical, but the emotional toll is still heavy.

Sometimes I get upset if I haven’t had a proper meal, and my parents always become angry with me for this. I’m not old enough to drive, but they admitted that they often forget I can’t because they’re used to my older siblings being independent. My bedroom has always been neglected compared to my sister’s—she’s had her room redone three times, while mine has only been updated once, and even then, all I received were new shelves.

Whenever I try to express to my mother that I feel like the least favorite, she becomes angry with me instead of trying to understand how I feel. I also have PTSD from a previous incident where I was severely burned while using the oven, and now I’m too afraid to cook. Despite knowing this, my mother continues to insist that I make my own meals. Recently, she told me, “I don’t care what mood you’re in, you do not do that, ” even though I had no control over my emotional state. My father added, “You’re not putting sh*t in the oven, ” which only deepened my fear.

I often feel like I’m drowning under the weight of everything. I’ve been pushed into accelerated classes and forced to join Beta Club, even though I didn’t want to. The pressure from my parents and school has become overwhelming. While I know that giving up isn’t the answer, the stress feels unbearable, and it feels as though no one truly understands what I’m going through.
