I just re-watched the entire series.
The 2nd to last episode tips off what the Season 4 story arc would have been.
and the last episode really does look slapped together last minute. it didn't feel like a big finale to an entire show, so much as it felt like a huge turning point to the upcoming storyline.

Love this recap! One of my fav details that wasn’t mentioned is in season 2 when Sam has Danny put on the patch before becoming a ghost. Going forward in the theme song and show he then has the “D” on his chest
