I have been putting rosemary oil for over 6 months not every day but with a hair messages and 100% works for me. My hair is thicker and even my hair dresser notice. I do it at lest twice a week. You got this girl. It will only show on your scalp and as your hair grows out so it will take a lot of time.

It's funny how me and my boyfriend had a discussion on this wondering on the efficacy one week ago and I told him "let's just wait for Cassandra to do a video on it" . Well here we are! 😂 As always, thank you for scrutinizing those trends for us so we don't loose our scalp trying things 🦋

for the last four months i’ve been diluting rosemary oil in my shampoo and then i got put on a super high potency iron supplement two months ago. this combo has done a lot for my hair and nails. i’m not losing as much everytime i brush or wash my hair. it’s been better than biotin in my experience so far. a lot of it might be the iron supplement, but i’d like to think the rosemary oil is adds a little boost!

I was suffering from hair loss. My derm told me to take pronatal vitamins. Now my hair is lovely and thick. The pregnancy vitamins ( I am not pregnant) made a huge difference to my hair loss after only three months.

The hair growth results took that time because of the duration of the hair follicle cycle. It probably started on the follicles that were in the hang on stage. Creating a better environment for the hair itself. So when it fell, the new hair had a better environment and was therefore stronger. It probably also worked positively on the hair follicle environments that had slowed and the ones that had stopped producing hairs, causing them to grow faster or start growing again... which takes time to stimulate that environment enough to make that happen

Ayurvedic herbs can help with hair growth and thickness, as well. Things like amla, neem, bhringraj, and Brahmi have been used a lot in India. Weekly oiling and massaging is a cultural practice.

The 6 months period make sense to me, too! Us with small fiber polyneuropathy on immunotherapy treatment like high dose ivig are told that nerve regeneration can take up to 6 months to occur with noticeable improvement. Makes sense when its on the scalp, too, when considering the nerve bundle types up there!

I’d just like to put it out there that there’s a Korean brand that makes a scalp hair spritz that has rosemary extract in it. It also has salicylic acid in it so it’s gently exfoliating. The brand is Aromatica and I get mine from Amazon. It makes using rosemary 2x a day more convenient and it’s also has menthol in it so it tingles too. I spray it on my scalp every morning and massage my head. I’m recovering from inflammation hair loss from seborrheic dermatitis and it’s been going great!

Minoxidil 2% (and, thus, rosemary) is just less efficient than minoxidil 5%, regardless of sex. Buy in bulk at Costco or Sam’s Club, apply, wait a few hours before you apply something soothing to help with the itchiness. It does help. I’m AFAB and I deal with stress and hormone related alopecia and my doctor recommended 5% and to never use the 2%. Followed her advice and it really helped.

I’ve been using it for the past year- making it, store oils, pumpkin seed oil, homemade spray. Just made some that’s still simmering. No bleach or dye anymore growing natural. I don’t have bald spots anymore. 2-3 times a week a couple hours before shampooing.

I had super thin and patchy eyebrows from over a decade of overplucking (hello tadpole brows of the 2000s!) I use a homemade "brow oil" which i apply on my brows each night and while it doesn't give magical results or anything, over the past 4-5 months my brows have definitely gotten fuller and there is a lot more regrowth.

I take castor oil, mix in a few drops of rosemary and lavendar essential oils. Apply after cleansing, leave on about 1 hour and wipe off.

I haven't used rosemary oil before but I've used rosemary serum. It works. I used to have bald spots post covid and post having my son. After using the serum my bald spots went away.

I have been using Rosemary with other oils and have noticed less shedding. It’s still fairly new regime for me, but I am loving the results so far.

sorry, but one of my biggest pet peeves of the hair loss sphere online is when people bring up the comparative study of 2% minoxidil vs rosemary. it's an awful study from the beginning to the end. it doesnt prove anything at all. an even bigger pet peeve of mine is when medical doctor influencers talk about it, highlighting how incompetent they are despite their degrees.

problem 1: in this study, both 2% minoxidil and rosemary only increased total hair count by 2%, that's it. the study also didn't have a control group so we dont even know if this increase in hair count was due to chance or the actual treatments.

problem 2: in the clinical trials of 2% minoxidil, it consistently increased hair count by more than 20%, not 2%. this begs the question of why it unperformed so heavily in this comparative study. we also have no idea where the treatments were applied or how much of each.

problem 3: equal results in one study means absolutely nothing without context of all other literature that shows completely different results. yes, minoxidil and rosemary performed equally in this particular study, but rosemary has never, in no way, performed even close to as good as minoxidil does in literally any other study.

regardless of your stance is, this study should and really can't be used to argue for either side. it has so many flaws and should be disregarded completely. friendly reminder to read more than just the headlines and try to understand scientific literature in a more broad context!

My hair loss (among other issues) was due to anemia. Hair eventually grew back thicker after treatment.

**Use Rosemary Oil in combination with Pumpkin Seed Oil (as the carrier oil). PSO is science backed for hair regrowth.
