Mike, as a Virginia resident, radar detectors are also illegal to operate here! They also can’t be readily accessible in any vehicle that is in operation on any public road! Please make a comment in the section. I don’t want you saying incorrect information! When you cross the border into Virginia from other states, there is a big sign that says that radar detectors are illegal. The police are also fitted with radar detector “detectors” and if caught, you can get into up to a $250 fine.
