CEO: How much money did our newest game make?

Accounting: Millions in profit.

CEO: But not all the money ever?

Accounting: No.

CEO: Shut it down. its a total loss. Shutter the studio.

Very upsetting, I def plan on picking this up soon, once my schedule clears and I have more time for it.

It is crazy how we get these crazy generation defining games meanwhile people are losing more jobs than ever.

What a fucking shame man, the demo was pretty fun. Guess I'll wait to pick it up on a heavily discounted sale. The gaming industry is in such a shitty state right now.

There's an easy solution game devs have to not reaching target profit margins on their games...

Stop spending so much damn money on games. They haven't figured out that games can still be cheap to make while still being good games.

Stuff like this makes me feel bad about waiting for holiday bonuses for all the good games that come out each year 😢

It sucks how this is the standard now. I hope all the developers get jobs quick

I got so mad when I heard this... If I was a millionaire I'd buy my own studio and hire all these devs and let them do what they wish with their games... ToT

I wish there was a way for me to purchase this game and ensure that 100% of the profit goes to Ouka Studios...
Like, do I not buy the game to support them morally or do I buy it to support them financially, if even in a small way?
We live in a vexing world.

Seems like you have to sell millions of copies or get shut down.

For everyone concerned.

The industry hasn't been in a good place for a while. The industry is over saturated, and believe it or not, theres too many studios, games, and Film based.

While you would think it's a good thing to have more studios, it's not. Sure, you think more jobs, the more studios, but that's not true.

The more studios means more bids for projects, which means if you don't get the 3 to 4 projects a year you or whayever number the studio needs to keep it running, then you will eventually have layoffs and or close.

Games are overspending their budgets and not finishing the game/ meeting the deadline. Look at how many games release that are incomplete and / or rely on DLC to finish the game. (You may have forgot but, That used to not be a thing until about 2021)

And then Bigger studios realize why are we outsorucing when we can hire 1 or 3 people for what that studio is doing over work them, because its harder to get into the industry now, and oush out the same content for cheaper at the workers expense.

So if you are a small studio you honestly stand no chance. You have to stick to fun indie style games that will gain traction or be around for 2 to 3 years, then close

Is visions of mana worth the $60 price tag? As well as can I play without having played any of the other games?
