Are Rich People Actually Evil?

I’m being serious when I say this conversation had me shook. My good friend Mary Marantz is an author, speaker and podcast host, and a voice of wisdom on everything from money to mindset. She shared what it was like to go from living in a trailer to being a student at Yale Law School and beyond—and what she learned along the way. We also talked about the filters we all look through and why you shouldn’t sit on your calling. Don’t miss this one!

And if you send me a text at 615.930.3431, you’ll get connected to me and my team so we can help you get out of debt and build true wealth. This is our year!

Having money just allows you to live the life you want to live. If you were evil before you’re rich, you’ll be evil after you’re rich and visa versa.

I'll tell you one thing. If you aren't rich like them, you have nothing in common with them nor do they have your interest in mind at a bare necessity level.

When people get money they start to think they better than everybody.

To have so much when so many have so little is a form of evil on it self

There is a certain threshold of wealth that is so unnecessary for a single person to have control over it is indeed evil. This threshold defined "rich" for your father.

If you want to redefine wealth to be money and an amplifier and have that define rich and say he's wrong that's also true.

But I'd like to point out wealth, money, and power are all different things and the meaning of rich is particularly based on your own definition and needs to be defined clearly to have a meaningful conversation.

Because this blip does none of those things it seems just a way to push a personal philosophy rather then an actual exploration of evil and power.

The conversation should be about disparity in terms of power and how and when that becomes evil.

Then you should explore how power destroys the world we live in and how that also relates.

We have destroyed circle of life after circle of life on the quest for power where the rich rule civilization and you're not gonna convince me that's not evil. We are not free of the blame of evil even if the atrocities were committed by our fathers or through ignorance or simply to survive.

Evil is hard to see and this blip is evil because it does not work hard enough to be good.

Every rich person is not evil, and every poor person is not good...i know good wealthy people, as well as bad impoverished people.

I'm still learning about this but the thing is, if you are evil and you have money and power to do bad things and not be held accountable, being rich just make you more dangerous. With that said, earning that money in honest ways and making only good things with that money doesn't make you good but it also doesn't make you evil (only donation is not going to do much, but also taking action will).

All these apologists make me laugh. It may be true that there are some good rich people and bad poor people. But the thing about rich people is that if they are bad, THEY CAN CONTINUE BEING BAD WITHOUT ANY CONSEQUENCES. Money gives you a lot of power, and power gives you the ability to lessen or eliminate said consequences. Let's say a poor person robs a bank. It's likely that he'll be caught and spend the rest of his days in a cell. Now how about a CEO takes from an employee's pension funds. Who's gonna stop him? Likely no one. I can recall one instance of rich guys being arrested in my entire 24 years of life.

Rich can do good... whether most choose to or don't = tougher to get a camel through the eye of a needle

I would guess many people in West Virginia feel that way. Their economy is in the gutter.

It's really dependent on WHY you spend your money, I deal mine in taxes and hobby works, the latter being now harder because the companies are prioritizing on devaluing the context instead of the progress. If you want people REALLY evil and Rich, you're immediately contradicting yourself from the way yt has you rely on crowdfunding sites.

Ask this question if rich people are evil: “Did money corrupt him? Or did he corrupt his money?” Money is a tool not the devil or Lady MacBeth whispering in your ears to plot wicked things. If he earned his money honorably, like Elon Musk building Space X or Tesla, then his money is a badge of honor.

Lol money is just a instrument! It can be used for good or evil! It's really down to the people who are using it and what their intentions are

Kinda have to be evil to some extent. Often the choices that get you there compromise the well being of others. Then the argument that you have money while other ls are not well off. The fact you don’t give up everything while there are still people starving can be argued as immortal.

They enjoy watching you suffer too much to share. Give people what they need and they will be worthy.
