Working in retail, one things I can say for sure is you cannot judge a book by its cover. I have come across truly rich people who looked shabby and mid-income people who looked impeccable. However, 90% of the truly rich people I encountered were nice and well mannered. The biggest clue for me if someone is truly rich is definitely by their attitude and their manners.

Wealthy people hate talking about their money. They are extremely private about it.

I can hear mom savvy advice when watching this.
“Actions speak louder than words”
“Ignore people with big egos “
“Observe how they treat others”
And “ always be kind and humble to others because everyone puts their pants on one leg at a time”

I think when Anna Bey refers to "leveling up" she means changing yourself to fit the life you want, not just marrying a wealthy person. I've known genuinely wealthy men who were rude, crude, dressed shabbily, used others. One was famous for buying the cheapest ticket to some public event - opera, concert, sporting event - and then shortly after the event started, moving to an empty seat in the most expensive section. That's certainly NOT the kind of person you would want to be. Leveling up means an interior change.

My wealthy English father-in-law met me at the train station wearing an old tweed jacket. He opened the button to show me the label - it had scribbled on the label ‘June, 1955’ the date he purchased it! He was so pleased with himself that he was still wearing it! A good example of ‘old money!’ 👍🇺🇸🙋‍♀️💕

My cousin is marrying into a wealthy family. The family is super private only found out they were wealthy after she had been dating him for over 3 years and got engaged. His family and him don’t want any photos on Facebook or Instagram and keep everything private.

People that have money rarely tell other people. That’s your first clue. Somebody that has a lot of wealth doesn’t necessarily want others to know….

I’ve been with some “fake” wealthier types at dinners and you hit the nail on the head—when the check comes, it’s “restroom time” or a “sudden phone emergency.” 😂

I've never been impressed by clothes, no matter how nice or expensive it is.
I am highly impressed by a person's integrity and good character.

To me financial stability is all that matters. I don’t need a luxurious life. I just want to have much enough money to live peacefully, not having to struggle too much.

As someone who's blown a lot of money on clothing and now had to budget everything. Don't worry about looking rich, buy things that look good on you don't worry about the brand but if it makes you feel more confidence and you will appear much more attractive. Always check for defects in the clothing. Find your personal Style not trends you will feel and look better.

Every time you spend money on something put aside the same amount for savings or double it will make you want to spend less and it will benefit you.
Hope this advice helps people who don't make much. ❤️

The wealthiest people I've met have been actually very kind and compassionate. The new millionaires were quite mean and arrogant

When I saw Anna delves and took one look at her hair - I couldn’t believe how she fooled so many people

Wealthy people are very descrete. Trust me. Privacy is the real luxury. Showing too much is just trivial. In every aspect of life. Cheap, insicure people needs constantly to have attention, not speaking only in terms of money. It is also a manipulative behaviour of typical narcissistic persons. Confident people already know their own value. No matter what. If they are on the extrovert side, and trusting persons, as I discovered I am, they like to share something to the outside, but never too much, and it is another story.

For over 20 years, I have been working at a private ladies' club. Old money. Quiet money. Lots of money. I have observed them over the years. Their behavior, what they wear, etc. Anna you hit this topic right on! These ladies are never showy, ostentatious, or flaunting their wealth. They dress impeccably and accessorize in the beautiful, classy, and understated way. There are certain brands they wear, and I know there are certain brands they would never wear.

Very rich, high status people have nothing to prove and no-one to impress. It also depends on which country you are from, some countries like to flaunt designer and excess more than others.

I love how you teach the whole package, Anna. Elegance on the inside and outside - is not contingent on wealth or status or anything external. It's an internal and oftentimes learned skill.

The part about the outfits is spot on! Appearances can be deceiving, the wealthiest man I know only wears jeans and guayaberas lol
