Roger Waters Breaks Silence On Richard Wright

For years, the tension between Roger Waters and Richard Wright boiled beneath the surface, leaving fans to piece together what happened. Sure, Pink Floyd's Music and their shows are legendary. Mind-blowing. But behind all that, it was like watching a soap opera unfold. Behind many of their iconic tracks, Roger Waters breaks his silence, pulling back the curtain on one of rock history's most fascinating and complicated relationships.

I've not even watched this; just saw the thumbnail. But I'm going to take a wild guess that he doesn't 'break silence'?

RW is a world-class A. H. !!! I bought one of his albums. Played it once. Narcissism at its best!

Why does Waters still think HE was Pink Floyd, he was just an average bass player with virtually no input whatsoever when Syd was the leader and songwriter. Forced into having to write to keep the band intact and possibly contracts to fulfill. Now there is no dispute about his abilities his lyrics are brilliant, but as Nick Mason says Waters never appreciated neither Gilmour or Wright's input feeling the lyrics were the most important. Whats scary is he STILL thinks that, he should look at all the people on you tube that "listen" for the first time to new bands ( for them). If that doesnt convince him that Gilmours input was at least equal, then he's a lost cause. The FACT is it is Waters EGO that has always been the problem, thinking that he was always right to the exclusion of everyone else. Not uncommon with musicians, but the truth nevertheless. His anger with war and his personal bereavments, combined with his anti establishment feelings was a creative goldmine for him. Yet since the break up he has done nothing of any real consequence, and Gilmour has only been slightly better. He survives on recreating tours from the collaboritive works that were created during the 70's, brilliant visuals, but lacks the musicality of Gilmours tours. There is no question about his song writing or producing he's genius, but he still lacks the respect that Gilmour and Wright deserve. Thats just his character. he should by now realise his own abilities and his lack of them. Fact His replacement Guy Pratt is a far superior bass player and vocalist, and was never missed at all, maybe thats what really bugs him. For all us Floyd fans we just appreciate the joint collaboration is by far the best. His rehash of DSOM is nothing less than sacrilage

Completely missed ... Roger Waters asked Rick Wright to return early from a vacation so that the band could complete the album for the year end shopping season per strong arm twisting from the record company... Rick refused and Roger went ballistic. By the way Gilmour was not heart broken with Rick's depaatture... He could have stopped it... Rick did return for the 1980 live tour and was the only member in the band actually to make money from the shows😂... Another Roger Waters hit piece

I think Redux is the best thing Waters has done solo, but that's a low bar. Wright's solo stuff was better than remembered here. Gilmour's latest is pretty good but the rest is average at best. Mason is having fun with his Saucerful... shows. In short Pink Floyd is the text book example of the whole being more than the sum of the parts.

Wright released his solo album "Wet Dream" BEFORE The Wall. And as Gilmour said about Rick's and Nick's participation in "A Momentry Lapse..." - "Neither of them played on this at all really".

Because ii was not a Pink Floyd album... It was a Roger Waters work ... But wanted to label it as a Pink Floyd work ... Since The Final Cut which only really Waters was on it .. Was offically the first Roger Waters solo albums since Final cut the solo albums got worse .. Pros and Cons was above average Radio Chaos was average Amused To Death was below Average The album with newspaper or was it a note pad print on it was was poor and that Dark Side thing was a waste ... And there's post Pink Floyd ... Gilmour same thing ... just average studio stuff... Rick Wright I thought his 1978 album well look at it this way Steve Wilson remixed it and it's excellent the remix is and the 1996 album which not many know about about was excellent also ... Syd Barrett made three fantastic solo albums when Ummagumma and Atom Heart Mother was made ... Gilmour since I guess On a Island or the Momentary and Division Bell were great albums regardless if Rick and Nick were on it or not ... On a Island and the next 4 albums with a live thing in between the studio material were simliar somewhat the same kind of album just Gilmour Driven .. Like Dark Side Wish You Animals sounds kind of like those albums over and over ... Then there's the first two solp the 78 album which was good About Face was better.. I saw the About Face tour ... Like he played 10 songs throughout the show ...
