Actually if you think about it, in terms of boot space the main determiner is not whether you have a lot of things to bring but if you usually ferry people or travel on your own/with a single passenger. A hatch with folded seats (as shown here) can sometimes be more useful for porting certain items. The differentiator is that a sedan can still carry plenty of luggage with four passengers, not so the hatch.

I literally bought yaris simply because I like how it looks!

For color guard, we have to bring six foot long flag poles with us to comps and to practice. sedans just aren't big enough to store the flag even diagonally. but the hatch back was able to.

for me, i the biggest downside of the hatchback is the increased cabin noise. but the extra space is a strong practical advantage.

basically, if you're going be driving more often with

passengers: get sedan
cargo: get hatchback

Thank you for the good sharing. Sedan has more trunk space compare to hatchback. Even though the hatchback has smaller trunk space, if we manage to storage nicely, we can maximize the trunk space.

Hatchback always looks good!

Look at the Yaris and Vios, Mazda2 hatchback and sedan, and also Mazda3 liftback and sedan.

THANK YOU for mentioning the Yaris has more rear headroom than the Vios but is true. all the people I know insist vios has more headroom which is not true. Because they’re short, they dont know the struggle so I don’t blame them. 😂

I want Wagon. Bigger boot space than a sedan, similar to SUV boot space without comprising handling.

Why Yaris no GR sport while it suppose to target sporty, young, dynamic driving

I got the Vios recently, and apart from the (long) time it takes to accelerate, I love the new technological and comfort features!

It depends. I loved my hatchback, but am leaning more towards a sedan as my next car. It really depends on your preference as you can make both work unless you know there will be situations where you will need a hatchback design frequently.

Very informative video. I have always loved my sedans with the security of the trunk and they are so quiet in the cab, but my next vehicle will be a hatchback. A hatchback is basically a pickup with a topper, except that it gets the same mpg as a car. I want to be able to throw a car engine or transmission in the back of it when I get parts at the salvage yard 600 miles away. My 9 mpg pickup doesn't cut it for long trips like that. The reason I always hated hatchbacks over the years is that dust and dirt build up on the back window on gravel roads and you have to look through that little hole that the windshield wiper makes and lots of times it is streaky. For the mpg I will make the sacrifice though.

Hatchback is better looking but better to chose a sedan for rear passinger safety especially rear end collision, .

Still a sedan guy, if I have a lot to haul I will hire some to do.. As I seldom move things.
