Auction EK Honda Civic Hatchback - Mechanical Damage?

While at an auto auction, I came across this 1998 Honda Civic EK Hatchback. These are becoming more rare as the years go by. A true icon of the Honda scene in the 90's until today. This car looks to be stolen though. Is it worth restoring?

This is actually the rarest EK hatch color sold in the US, Taffeta White, only available for the 2000 model year, on hatches believe it or not it's rarer than Midori Green. There's like 2200 taffeta white hatches, and 5000 midori green hatches.

Lol My first car had that engine. Blown head gasket and would overheat in about 10 mins. Only drove it on the freeway because that was the only way to keep it from completely overheating and shutting off. Good times

You don't need anything that's mechanical if you're going to swap it. Body looks perfect and that's all that matters. Probably a good price for mechanical damage. I'd jump all over that one plus it's 99-00 front end. Definitely the one to get!

I used tonhave a '93 Del Sol Si, and it had the best feeling transmission ever. It wasn't stiff, but it wasn't sloppy, and you could just bang-shift it all day, and it wouldn't care. Linkages are just so much nicer than cables.
