I’ve been enjoying mine since June! It handles well and the consumption is not bad (I get 6, 3L/100km on the highway and 8, 5L/100km in the city, combined 6, 7). The main advantage is definitely the engine. 2.0L is enough to never feel sluggish, if you need power in any everyday situation (overtaking a truck uphill) this thing definitely delivers. The extras are also nice, the ACC is very useful for dense traffic, just set it to 130km/h and let it sit. And the individual driving mode is also good, personally I run an eco mode engine (better gas mileage - slightly more sluggish), soft suspension (can be really hard), eco AC and sport exhaust to hear the roar when I join the highway. Though the best experience is without a doubt in the sport driving mode, the normal one is also great. Would highly recommend this car to anyone who wants a small hatchback but not one of those 1L snails. Truly a great car!

Here in the US, we sadly do not get the Polo. I wish we did as I am not a fan of the mk8 Golf at all. I think this car looks much nicer and is probably way more affordable. We do have the Jetta GLI, which is the same as a Golf, but bigger and $10k less, but this Polo is sweet.

I’ve owned the MK8 GTI and MK8 R sold both of them and my MK8.5 R is coming in 2 days, I like how they didn’t have the handbrake, the Polo GTI still has the handbrake as a new car it just makes it look old

I love how the polo gti, golf gti, golf r, Audi a4, Skoda Octavia rs, Audi s3 seat cupra (and more) all have the same engine but just tuned differently

If you want to buy a car that will most likely get stollen here in the UK then buy the Polo GTi and no point buying Golf GTi that will deffinetly disappear they will even take a VW UP GTi if its easy to get, my neighbours had there's taken off the drive.
