Indonesia, is much much more than Bali. I Moved here ten years ago, again, in real estate and development originally, Lombok offers much more potential upside, and on a longer term, Sumbawa, Belitung, Raja Ampat.. 100% learn bahasa Indonesia; as a trading language its relatively easy.

Super interesting episode Max. Really enjoy your content, especially on Indonesia as I myself have moved here some 13 years ago. So I like seeing what other people have made of their opportunities here in our beautiful Indonesia.

Very enjoyable content. Shout out to Alex for being a great guest! He's very knowledgeable and he really have a good insight about Indonesia and see things on both perspective. I wish that foreigner can learn more about the locals, the language, and integrate with them instead of creating their own circle and gentrified the area.

Keep it up Max!

Thanks to make such a nice video interview, Max!. The knowledge that Alex has about Bali, their cultures, regulations and so on, is impressive. Alex is a typical an ideal expat that well-adapted with Bali's situation and have a balanced perspective about Bali and Indonesia. Two thumbs up for you both!

Just a little but necessary correction: foreigners can't buy land in Indonesia. We can only lease it.

I worked in MICE industry and i have to say Bali is one of best places for having memorable events in your life. Some people referring Bali as Asian Ibiza, but i think Bali give you more than that.

Singapore is the financial center of Asia, but when it comes to freedom of expression, Indonesia has greater freedom. Moreover, Indonesia has many islands to explore, not just Bali. While Singapore only has one island to explore. The regions in Indonesia also have different cuisines, so you will never get bored of enjoying Indonesian food.

Funny that you were both Russians speaking English when you had full English subtitles. In the future I think we are ok with hearing Russian if it is more comfortable for you both with English subtitles. Of course it might be a business decision so up to you.

Too many foreigner and too much gentrification in Bali has killed Bali's nature and also its sacred.

YES. In Indonesia.. you can do anything you want as long as it doesn't violate other's. I think it's basic / common courtesy everywhere in the world!
