Biography of Artist biography Diana Douglas Hamilton she is a known British artist. She is Lord Malcolm Douglas-Hamilton's and Clodagh Bowes-Lyon daughter. She was born: 13 February 1932 (present age 92 years) her partner is Gavin William Younger (1955–) Her children are Hugh Patrick Younger, Douglas Henry Younger. Also her grandchildren: Harry Neil Younger, Benedict Gavin Younger. Her grandparents: Alfred Douglas-Hamilton, 13th Duke of Hamilton.
Worked from her studio near Selkirk in the Scottish Borders, Diana works in Oils, Watercolours, Pastels and Bronze Sculpture.
She is so well known internationally for her portraits of eminent people, horses and dogs, she is much in demand, having produced work for the late Queen Mother amongst others. Diana now works primarily on a commission basis. She trained at the Edinburgh College of Art from 1949-1953 under Sir W.G. Gillies, Sir William MacTaggart and Sir Robin Philipson, Diana gained a Diploma in Drawing and Painting. Shortly afterwards she married, and after bring up her family she resumed her career in painting - also studying sculpture at Bristol. Diana has ridden, owned and bred horses and ponies for much of her life. She owns a Staffordshire bull terrier, and enjoys gardening and travelling. She has a keen interest in wildlife both at home and abroad.
