Updating Tide and Current Data in OpenCPN for PC and Related Discussion

After a reminder that NOAA has changed its policies on tide and current data distribution and the alert that they are making improvements to data from many stations, we look at how to update the harmonics files in OpenCPN on a PC. A shorter Mac version follows. We get the link to latest harmonics from the OpenCPN downloads section. Related links to sources discussed are below. NOAA harmonics are updated quarterly. The files we use here are updated annually.
