I think it’s a little complicated, when he’s not synced it’s obvious, his hands fall behind everything and he starts hitting short on rim. That’s why his set up dribble is so helpful. He seems to find a smoother sync automatically off it.

I've been saying for years that he needs to fix his form, I first noticed when Bam Adebayu blocked a dunk attempt during the bubble, Is almost as he's trying to cuff the basketball even if it is just a jump shot not a dunk, is too much movement, that's why sometimes his shot is so inconsistent 🤷

This is not your typical “correct shooting form” but at the end of the day that is a myth. No matter what form u have as long as the speed is practical and u practice u can find consistency

It looks good on release due to its final motions, namely the square and the elbow and the guide hand. The motions leading to its release is awkward. To put it short, its a forced shooting pocket, why forced? Shooters always maintain a single path when shooting. He forces the ball much towards his body in order to maintain that motion during the follow through or else his elbow will flare out.
