I use the H264 (videotoolbox) GPU setting vs the h265 because it makes it so I can render my file size 10x as fast!

As a newbie to just now starting a brand new never done it before YouTube channel...I was literally shocked at how long it takes for my videos to load. Let's start by saying that I don't have the fastest internet & using an order laptop pc running windows 10. I am using the windows video editor for now. Ok ...so it took 6 hours to upload to YouTube at 720p for a 14 minute video & double that for a 34 minute video... I'm like really??
So I started digging around & Handbrake tool seemed to stand out as the solution. I just watched your video on using Handbrake...and THANK YOU for speaking in a clear easy to understand tempo that this tech challenged simpleton could UNDERSTAND !!!. So many others talk way to fast and overuse slang like basically / like / etc . And just gloss over the details. This video was very well thought out and delivered what I needed to know. ** I'm glad that after all settings are inputed that you can save it and lock it down. I've got around 10 videos to upload to my new channel & Handbrake will hopefully make the process ALOT less painful .

Mike - I downloaded Handbrake and followed all of your instructions on what settings to use etc etc. Uploaded to Youtube and the resolution is terrible! Video went from IPHONE mp4 22.3 MG to IMOVIE for small edit & saved in .mov at 892.4MB. then to Handbrake for Youtube. 56.31 min. resolution now is awful. Can you tell me How to fix that please??? I'm an artist just trying figure out how to get this done. thanks!

Moving the encode speed to Fast and getting the GPU to help is a godsend. It cut my times down from an hour to 15 minutes and the video still looks great.
