Vegeta really is the best saiyan teacher It's his job as the prince of saiyans He wants every remaining Saiyan offspring such as Gohan Goten trunks pan Bulla including Cabba to know what it means to be a Saiyan warrior And because of that Cabba was able to reach Super Saiyan 2 Goku is also a great teacher in his own way he doesn't care for about his Saiyan pride But he knows how important it is to Vegeta Goku still managed to help caulifla reach Super Saiyan 2

I love that Vegeta's pride in himself is always secondary to the pride he has in his people. He only wants the Saiyans to succeed. Sure he still wants to be the best of them but when it comes down to it when other saiyans surpass him he is still proud of them i.e. Goku on Namek and Gohan fighting Cell.
