FOR #MATCH2024 ERAS SIGNALS 🏆👇

My Personal Thoughts: For MOST students, it’s best to use an 80/10/10 ratio
- 80% of signals to places you see yourself at (reasonably)
- 10% of signals to places that are slightly out of reach / competitive
- 10% of signals to community places or programs you are likely pretty qualified for

There’s no single best way to know how “competitive” you are, but a broad rule of thumb is to evaluate if the program is community/academic/Ivy League based upon NRMP data

- compare as many data points as you can to the NRMP data. I use scores in my video example just because it’s an easily tangible metric.

If your scores/other metrics (compared to NRMP data) are in the 0-25% percentile ➡️ focus primarily on Community Programs
- 25-50% percentile is a gray area where you can split your approach to 80% community & 20% Academic programs

If your scores/metrics are 25-75+ percentile ➡️focus primarily on Academic aka University Programs
- I would still apply to ~10% Community programs at least and ~10% Ivy League programs

If your scores/metrics are 75-100% percentile ➡️ focus primarily on Academic/Ivy League Programs

Got stuck by a needle in the OR, so I had to go get some labs drawn 🧪 tonight in the ER as you see in the video haha. Still gotta go back & finish the operation! Hope this guide helps fam!
