You know, I have an unpopular opinion about that. I am Brazilian and I live around the corner from an ayahuasca temple from the Santo Daime tradition. I have taken ayahuasca alone with a shaman with only a dirty mattress on the floor and a bucket to vomit, no structure at all and it cost me 8 dollars - and I have attended fancy retreats with fancy food, a room to myself and even a goddamn psychologist to help you integrate the experience, a couple of thousand dollars for the whole thing... but honestly, it is my state of mind that determines how my experience is going to be. I understand that foreigners need a sense of structure to feel safe, but safety is an internal event rather than external. No fancy retreat will save you from a shitty state of mind. I learned that the hard way, btw! Love your videos as always! (And me too, I like the shipibo shamans best!)

Love your videos! Also, 4 ceremonies in a week is a lot. I've done that and I think there is also something to be said for 3 ceremonies in a week and having that extra day to rest and get clear.

So I am planning my trip and learning as much as possible. when you arrive at the airport is someone there waiting to take you to the retreat or do you schedule your own travel. Find your way as they say. Do you stay overnight there near the airport before you depart for the jungle? Is it different for international travelers when you arrive to get to your destination? what time of year is better to travel. Also do you have a video on the different retreats? I'm pretty much glued to this one but the price just keeps climbing every time I check the website so the cost is kinda meeting up with the rest of the retreats around the world so I would like to learn about the other retreats and what they offer as well. Thank you so much for this it really is very helpful.

Your opinion y'all. Playing Youtube Icaros whilst partaking in Golden Teacher mushrooms or Huachuma. Ineffective? Or worse, dangerous? Are these Icaros (which mean nothing to me since I don't speak the language) particular to ayuhuasca only? What do you think?
