I have spoken a lot on this channel about how I dislike that the Philips Hue app is split into two: the overly simple (and feature light!) Hue app, and the feature rich but buggy Hue Labs areas. Luckily Philips Hue have been working hard to move various dynamic lighting features into the main Hue app. So can we now FINALLY create a range of funky, dynamic smart lighting effects from the Hue app?

Well I look exactly at what does (and doesn't) work well in the 'upgraded' Hue app area, and I also discuss what we'll lose from Hue Labs shutting down.

To learn more about this change, you can check out the:

Hello do you know of a way to set multiple light changes on the bar lights that go behind the tv I use to have 9 scenes set up that rotated in labs while I watch movies or play games . Like the prism effect. But the bar lights do not have the prism button to do this now kind of frustrating.

Can I just write this app and let them use it? This is dumb.

I hope they bring those functionalities back. This is so upsetting. All good things apparently come to an end. 😢
