If you go back and look at the older leaderboards, most people have just moved on man. On EU ladder, most top 500 players are the same people on five different accounts

I kind of miss the old sr system for top 500 see people going for 5000sr was awesome being able to guess how many games away people are from overtaking. I also think it was nice because it gave you a number to beat for the next season

Rank reset doesn’t change your mmr so all these diamonds in top 500 were probably in gm last season but this is just ow dev team trying to make it look like any one can get t500 and want you to keep being miserable playing this game

isn't it like this cuz whatever system they have in place to maintain the normal curve only allows like <1% of players into gm and above. as in the system makes it really hard to get high ranks and tries to keep most players in gold/plat to maintain normal distribution. and it's working so well, it's like impossible to get high champion for most top players. they said in season 12 patch they aren't happy with how little players are in higher ranks cuz they know their system is too strict.

Was masters 2 a couple of seasons ago on tank and support. Peaked 3800 in OW1. Hadn't played much or at all since resets. Finished placements for this season at Diamond 5, and I'm at Diamond 3 after playing for a bit.
The resets just make legal smurfs.

Idk why they forget to mention it’s still early for the season and not everyone and their momma has time to put in 50 wins to get on the leaderboard. It’ll even out at the end of the season

Yeah everyone gets a lower rank after reset and they made gm much rarer, plus 50 wins in 2 weeks is a loooot
