Yes, cavities can be reversed but it requires changes in diet and lifestyle that most Americans aren't willing to undergo. You have to strictly limit sugar and acids in your diet (absolutely no soda, added sugars less than 16g per day), cut back on snacking and practice time restricted eating, combined with meticulous oral hygene (rinsing after every meal or using xylitol based chewing gum, combined with thorough brushing and interdental cleaning at least once a day), and you have to use a remineralizing toothpaste that has some form of bio-available calcium and phosphate (not fluoride- fluoride protects teeth from acid but it doesn't heal cavities very well). Hydroxyapatite or Biomin C are the best choices for this.

This is really helpful to those who are just starting to concern about their oral hygiene . Thank you for this info

It has been established that dentin DOES indeed remineralize. Even as far back as the 1920's there has been evidence via x-rays of the remineralization of Dentin. Look in Dr. Weston A. Price's book (where his work is published) called "Nutrition
and Physical Degeneration". There are also studies that have shown the remineralization of dentin

😂 I actually have stopped cavities into the dentin and regrown the tooth twice over the years and no oil pulling was involved. It requires a great deal of amino acids, diet change to become alkaline and very specific minerals (some hard to find in supplement form), along with other supplements and magnetic therapy. It's not instant, it's not easy to follow through with, because it takes a long time, but yea, it is 100% doable.

I reversed some incipient caries through D3/K2, magnesium, nasal breathing, brushing with an expensive electric toothbrush with xylitol toothpaste, and using woven floss. It's a very easy routine to follow now, but getting here was hard.

6:04 *You need to wipe the acid off !!!*
Ok, it makes sense.
However, at early stages, dental caries are small dark spots that probably no toothbrush would be able to reach and clean.

Thank you for this information. I thoroughly enjoy watching your videos, and I've learned a lot. I appreciate all the effort you put in; it shows! The one thing I must point out is that the music is very distracting. It would be nice if, when you are discussing the topics, there was no music. Stay safe!

Over the years? This gives me some hope because I have some early sign of cavity on my wisdom tooth but just noticed that I haven't been brushing or flossing with the correct technique until now! had been a couple of months into it... will keep going!

I never had a cavity despite horrible dental care and eating habits, but I do create so much tartar or calculus. Do you talk about that.

I am 62 years old I purchased a electric toothbrush and got on You Tube to make sure I was brushing correctly. Then watched your other video and learned a lot. I brush and floss and get my teeth cleaned twice a year. I haven’t had a cavity in years. My dentist retired and I go to a new dentist. My question is the fillings I have are old do they need to be replaced even if my teeth are not hurting and they are not broken?

My dentist told me she doesn't want to give me filler on most of my cavities - just sealant. I was shocked to find out I have some cavities considering I'm not in any pain. I am definitely going to go through with the sealant, but I'm going to reverse the ones waaaayyy in the back.

Use comfrey root and egg shells, dental industry is mostly are scam. I stopped going 10 years ago and never had a problem with me teeth. Only problem I’ve ever experienced was with teeth they filled when I was a kid 🤬

Can you please suggest some ways to remove the demineralization? Brush and floss is a must, I know. But what pastes and washes would you suggest?

I have not seen this adequately addressed yet so If It's okay I'll ask the question.

From what I have read, enamel decay is white/cloudy, and not dark spots in between fissures/pits. Do black spots indicate tooth decay (possibly arrested caries) and does this mean it reached the dentin? Basically, if you have black spots/lines between your fissures does this indicate no point of reversal?

I understand this is something that should be looked at by the doctor but just wanted to ask anyway.

How do I know if a cavity can still be reversed?
Thank you for the video

Can’t reverse a cavity? Why every time I go get a cleaning they tell me I have a cavity. I never get them fixed. Yet they are gone when I go back and they tell me I have a cavity on a different tooth…

I would like to tell my dental story.
I apologize for my English.
A few years ago, I dabbled in sodas and sugary treats, sometimes I didn't brush my teeth, and if I did, my brushing technique suffered.
At some point I realized that my teeth needed to be taken care of, but not fanatically. Now I brush them well and my diet is better, but not perfect.
In 2021, the doctors found a dark spot in the fissure on my molar. They healed it of course. The doctor said the decay was medium. I was plagued with doubts. Was it worth it to put a filling on the tooth? After this incident, I began to look into the problem.
There were no dark spots on the other teeth. A year later, in 2022, I found dark spots on another molar. I wondered at the time, had they appeared within a year, or was it the result of a decade of demineralization? The other doctor did not want to treat them, but only to observe them.
At 2023 now, I have white-brown areas of demineralization somewhere that nothing is happening to them. The dark spots in the fissures of the molars bother me. I keep feeling like they are going to go down.

I'm wondering if a "teenage diet" could have weakened the enamel of all my teeth, and now I'm just sorting out the effects of those years? Is the demineralization process quick or does it take a few years? I'm in my 20s now and I think I've ruined my teeth.
