One of Anakin/Darth Vader’s greatest Force Powers was dreams or visions. If only he was trained by Qui-Gon Jinn on HOW to better control his Force Visions by better interpreting them like how he, Yoda, and Cal Kestis could, I don’t know if it would’ve stopped Anakin’s fall to the Dark Side, but I could see Anakin as another Reven.

I feel like the dark side of the forest was just his insecurity and fears of being thrown away I think he had some kind of abandonment issues since childhood

How can Darth Vader feel any pain from his robotic hand being cut off?

So wait, did Vader see that vision, and in knowing Luke was his son, he made sure to avoid that potential future by being the one to cut off Luke's hand instead? Implication being that there is some degree of compassion or empathy for what that means and/or familial connection to turn him away from the path of the dark side?

I'd assume it would be more to demoralize and disarm him than to avoid him turning. He probably didn't want to kill his son at any point.
