The best way to judge a BBQ place is by their turkey. Brisket has so much fat that just about anyone can make a good brisket, but turkey shows you really know how to make a smoker work for you

There's a farm close by there where I get my meat from occasionally and one day I saw a long line outside a barbecue place and I was like, "Damn, must be hella good!" in passing. Then I got this short recommended to me later and realized this was the place I had passed by.
Maybe I'll make a stop one day.

If you’ve already been to Fort Worth, I highly recommend making the drive north east to McKinney and giving Hutchins a try. Goldee’s and Hutchins are my favorites and even better than the famous joints in Austin and central Texas.
