Brilliant Martin. I wish I had seen this 3 days ago!! I ended up with the tiny hex screws falling out and it took me all day to put it all back and even now it's not as accurate as yours. I had heard about this mod but didn't know what thread the hex screws were. Can't thank you enough for the link. Hopefully the thumbscrews will be here tomorrow.👍👍 Also very interested how you filmed the sight glass!! Cheers

A lot of information! About to watch it. I am having a separate concrete pad being built in addition to the new building in September. It will be outside. I can have spots made on the concrete for the various scopes so that set-up is minimized.

The replacement of the 1.5 mm set screws with metric thumbscrews is an excellent idea. Accessing one of the three set screws was always very difficult for me in adjusting the polar reticle finderscope.

Just about to buy all the stuff to supertune my neq6 pro, what sort of rms error are you getting when guiding? Great vids just watched 1 to 6, very informative thanks

I looked and i cannot find a video or a comment about the improved guiding after the hypertune. Can you tell us what kind of results you got after the tune?

Always worth having a synced polariscope, but once you start using Eqmod take it to the next level, polemaster or PolarAlign in sharpcap better guiding, then platesolve make finding targets so much easier first time every time

What are the sizes of the grub screws on the Meade LXD55 mount polar reticle scope? I would like to replace these with thumbscrews as per your suggestions here for the Skywatcher EQ-6 mount.

Polar reticle adjustments are a pain in the *** but very important if you don't have a Polemaster. Yes very difficult!

Martin, you are not clear about moving the object half way between the initial position and its position at 180 degree rotation using the set screw adjustments before centering it with adjustments to the azimuth and altitude bolts.

Questions: 1) How much are you moving the object with the set screw adjustments before you centre it by moving the altitude and azimuth bolts? Half way between initial centred position and the position at 180 degree R.A. rotation? 2) Why are you moving the R.A. axis only 90 degrees after making your altitude and azimuth bolt adjustments?

This is certainly good info and no one else is putting anything like this together. But could you just say things once? You repeat yourself a LOT. This drags out the videos and makes them much longer then necessary. For example when you were talking about the replacement set screws you named them three times. Just once is fine.
