Is NURSING a good pre-med major?

is nursing a good major for a pre-medical student? it makes sense practically... if you plan to apply to medical school, you need an undergraduate degree. why major in biology or chemistry like most people when you can major in nursing and have a well-paying backup career and still complete the bachelor's degree requirement for pre-med? well, it's not always that simple. it all comes down to pre-requisite courses AND the moral dilemma of using the nursing degree/career as a stepping stone.

I’m currently pursuing nursing, but my ultimate goal is to become a doctor. Coming from a less privileged background and being on my own since before graduating high school, I’ve chosen the nursing path to gain financial stability and support myself on the journey to medical school. Nursing will also allow me to explore the healthcare field more deeply and confirm my commitment to becoming a doctor. While this isn’t the traditional route and may take a bit more time, I believe it’s the best way for me to achieve my dream of practicing medicine.
