I agree with everything you have said. Actually, I don't think I have ever disagreed with you... :-) Choosing the perfect cabin is as fun and important as choosing the right cruise itinerary. "I love it when a plan comes together." to quote Colonel John "Hannibal" Smith of the A-Team. Thanks, Sheri!

While watching your Miracle videos, I fell in love with your Aft Balcony. Being a solo cruiser, I usually look for ocean view. But I decided to splurge for my 60th Birthday Cruise in November and I have an Aft Balcony Deck 7. So excited. Thank you for another great video 😊❤️

Great tips! We've always booked interior rooms for our past 10 or so cruises because we aren't in our cabin much and we sleep really great because they're usually dark and quiet.

I have a fear of heights and things flying off the balcony. Balcony cabins and suites are a no go and waste of money for me. I love Royal Caribbean’s virtual balconies and am excited to try Celebrity’s infinite verandas.

I generally look at the ship 1st meaning the frills water slides wave simulator rock climbing wall etc. The cabin I'd like a ocean view on a medium high deck 5th or higher

Great tips Sheri, we often go with those quiet locations you suggested, also ensuring the room is non connecting 😊

Time of year can influence us - for instance we had an obstructed ocean view on a Canaries cruise in Mid January. We didn’t mind as most of the time when we were in the cabin it was dark and we were sailing so not much to see anyway.

I always try to book a handicap cabin first if I could. Usually it has an extra space and conveniently located. It’s a chance I take whenever I can.

I stayed in a interior cabin yet it had two port hole windows for the price of an interior. It was a forward cabin but not bad.

Avoid cabins that have a door connecting to the room next door to prevent hearing your neighbors.

Last cruise I had a room close to the front of the ship and one night I heard the BANGING of the ballast all night!!! Yikes! Won't do that again!

Another tip we’ve learned is that if you have or are considering mid-ship balcony cabin, see if you can book one with an angled balcony. That is, look at the ship’s profile and if it has a “curvature” to it, see if you can get one of the balcony cabins that is on that “curve”. The reason? You gain a slightly larger balcony space for the same cost as a neighboring “normal” mid-ship balcony as they are both in the same category of cabins.

If you are claustrophobic, then a baloney room might be a perfect idea.

Hi I know you said to leave tips and comments, but I have a question. :(...this will be my first cruise and well I went to a travel agency...I didnt know that there is so much to know before going on a cruise until I found your channel ( wish I had seen it before) :(... well i went to a travel agency and for some reason I'm worried cause we are five cruising together and we have only one cabin:o and the person says to me after she gives me the documents those rooms are super small and uncomfortable for five...I wanted to ask if theres a chance that I could upgrade to a more comfortable cabin or will we be okay in the cabin that they gave us? I did ask the travel agent but she said that I could not...sorry for the long story to get to the point.
