Smart move.
Nvidia DP 2.1 graphics cards will be out at the end of this year (or at least this will force their hand to finally implement it).
And because most people hold onto their monitor the longest of any component of a pc, this will give future proof support for what will be the new standard for the next decade.
My only worry is if this monitor uses a matte coating, instead of glossy.
