My vote goes to No more DST!!!
The days are getting longer this time of year anyway now there’s no more golden hour (sunset) before 7pm until October. It’s difficult enough to get kids to bed, tack on another hour+ of sunlight and it’s just ridiculous even parents don’t want to go to bed when it’s still light out but have to get up get kids up and everybody to work /school wherever they go. No one gets the rest they need not to mention everyone does need their internal clock adjustment it’s a cruel price for one hour! I’ve been going to work and coming home all winter in the dark and now it feels like time itself is a weird punishment for the working person. Does it take an act of congress to stop this insanity ~ if so we’re all sunk. I want my hour back

I think this actually dates back to farming times as it gave the farmers more hours of daylight to do their jobs.

Yep. Seemed like a good idea at the time. In Australia the states with the least hot summer weather have daylight saving while those partly or wholly in the tropics with long hot summer afternoons don't want those afternoons extended and they don't have daylight saving.

It was also used at wartime to save on electricity. This was the primary reason for DST during WWII.

honestly this needs to be addressed. we have enough problems to deal with and losing an hour of sleep every year (that changes your internal clock) for no reason has to stop

We just need to get rid of it at this point. With modern lights, wildly varied work schedules, and not that many people doing farming it's a highly outdated thing we do. Would serve us better to remove it and just maintain our time

I totally ignore DST. I get up when I wake up, and I go to sleep when I get sleepy. If course, being self-employed does help with that!
