Gap generator can allow building to be built nearby just like power plant barrack etc. Can be use to enable build defense tower on that high ground.

If I remember correctly you can use the mini map for way points even for planes. I have never seen you use that mechanic. A bit cheaty but only a bit. But maybe I misremembered...
