The war miner is always deceptively strong, I wonder if there's a strategy that involves them outside their intended use.

Something worth mentioning; is that the Tank Destroyer's biggest flaw, is it's lack of a rotary turret. Being based on a Howitzer; it's designed for shooting in only one direction. However, this creates an issue. Most Tanks can be ordered to drive around a Tank destroyer, which will greatly reduce it's accuracy; causing it to miss often. If you have your tanks drive around it using the Attack 2 command, which will have them attack any enemies on their way to the location; Tank Destroyers are basically done for most of the time. IFVs are the most effective for this, since their fast speed is very hard for the Tank Destroyer to catch, and with a Guardian GI inside, they will scrap it easily.

This is actually similar to the Light Tank tactic that was in RA1, where Light Tanks could solo Heavy Tanks by constantly moving around and heckling the tanks by dancing in and out of their range so they couldn't shoot effectively.

I remember when I played with Iraq against Germany. They kept sending on 4 tank destroyers at a time but one desolator was enough to kill them by maintaining radiation on the ground and single targeting them one by one.

TD is so good against tanks, and exceptionally well on heavy armor. Aside from that it's really the most useless shit.

Germany was useless in this game. The tank destroyer didn't have amazing armor and wasn't much of a benefit. France's grand cannon is a thousand times better.

I remember the Tank destroyer being the least liked of the allied special nation specific units because it can't properly target moving units so it's dps is bad against any vehicles that move. It has been about 18 years though so maybe I'm wrong.

I think RR2 of it was released after 2010, an update will be to make Tank destroyer dealing damage for buildings and infentry like any tank.

It is not Miner's which are OP - their health is within balanced territory. It is anti-armor which is imba - Tank Destroyers, GGIs, etc. Therefore MEDIUM armor counters anti-armor - else you could cheaply amass these anti-armor units and cripple another's economy.
