If the GI's are not dug in, they'll get massacred. Overall conscripts and GI's are well balanced between eachother, something that cannot be said about those accursed initiates.

conscripts may have slight advantage on open terrain, as shown in this video, but will only be effective when you train too many of them. Still having to spend your resources for a lot of conscripts is risky, but not to the point of becoming useless.

I think it becomes a less fair test of strength when the conscripts start amassing while the GI's have to stay spaced out. It's just a classic example of force concentration. This would be even more one sided if you actually concentrated the GI's effectively rather than nerfing them by keeping them spread.

To be fair veteran conscripts are rare and veteran GI are pretty common. So the GI is a good value.

Hmm. Interestin. However, it would have been nice to issue constant commands to the conscripts in the back ranks. The GIs have the obvious advantage of being stationary, thus they condense their firepower much better, and that density of firepower holds throughout the battle. Meanwhile, the conscripts get scattered around and focused down as they advance. It would be interesting to see what would happen if you can bring all of them to the frontline
