In terms of experience, most of it goes to Niko, cause Vito spent 2 years at war. Niko on the other hand, entered the army when he was a teenager earning 3 different ranks until his early 30s and dealt with different crime bands way more than Vito has.

Vito because he fought in WW2 the most brutal conflict and went toe to toe with the ENR and the Nazis. He was in a way tougher and harder decade to live in, the living conditions were beyond low, from coming over on a boat in Sicily those immigrants saw people 💩 themselves to death in canoes, only to arrive and watch their parents be worked to death and eating the paint chips off the tennaments, Vito grew up in an era that had to form gangs as small children to protect themselves, not just good ol Italian vs Irish gangs but other immigrants that emerged.
