Were you misled by anything that you saw on The Crown?

The part about his boarding school days is probably more accurate than what you are saying here. His speech, years later, was him being diplomatic. And even in that speech, he was hardly heaping praise on his old school, the teachers or the friends he made. And he didn't like it enough to send his own sons there.

The biggest lie is that the real Charles is not as handsome as this actor is.

If you had used a Charles quote from *this* century to describe his Gordonstoun school experience it would be "Colditz in kilts." Colditz was a famous Nazi prison camp. Yes, Charles hated his time there. Notice that none of the Queen's sons who attended Gordonstoun sent their own children to it. That should tell you right there what they all thought of Gordonstoun.

I think people need to realize that Diana and Charles did have happy times in their relationship, Diana said as much. They were drawn together because they were so similar but those similarities meant neither could get what they needed from the relationship. I'm sure if Diana hadn't passed she would have found someone and the divorce would have given way to two much happier second marriages. It's just tragic that didn't happen and a drunk driver in Paris stupidly got behind the wheel.

My personal take away from this whole series, was that they all lived a life I wouldn't want. All that glitters isn't gold.

Hard to believe there are really people who think that the crown is historically accurate lol

Just because he never raised his voice to his staff member (doubtful, most people ins even years will raise their voice at least once) does not mean he wasn't like that in his private life behind closed doors.

Charles has done everything he's been asked to do. This is why he married Diana. Diana married Charles bc she was in love with the idea of marrying a prince. The match was doomed from the beginning. Of course, The Crown was dramatized & exaggerated! Otherwise, there would be no audience. I bet that Paul B. elaborated on some of his stories for his own gain. Didn't he steal some items that belonged to Diana or the royal family?

I used to be very pro-Diana in the past. But having read more into Diana, I've come to realise that a lot of her behaviours were quite unhinged - even before any infidelity - there was some definite personality disorder of some sort. She needed help but somehow never realised it and kept blaming everyone else.

The Crown, as a Netflix series, has to be extra dramatic to keep an audience’s attention. The show’s pacing is god-awful, but we won’t get into that. It seemed pretty clear to me that Charles wasn’t that blatantly horrible to Diana. The real hostility was likely quiet, cold, & distant… rather than volatile & hotheaded. The Royals keep their cool. I’m also tired of seeing Diana dehumanized as this precious abused Angel. She was a very intelligent & talented woman who had flaws like everyone else— that’s why it was easy to love her.

In many ways, Diana was the author of her own misery. I believe she was ambitious. She wanted to bag the "most eligible bachelor in Europe." So she made herself amiable to the prince and his family, and everyone thought it was genuine. She thought she'd enjoy being at the pinnacle of society, being rich and famous. But soon found it takes real character to endure all that notoriety an attention from the press, and not have it ruin your perspective. She wasn't prepared for the scrutiny, and blamed the royal family and Charles for not "supporting her."

I’ve never watched this programme as it seemed so wrong to make a drama about a still living family. I was afraid that people would watch it and believe it was all true. I think my fears have been realized and viewers find it difficult to distinguish fact from fiction.

I think is so sad that some people is so That they believe that a TV series is the real deal. Diana was not an angel, she had an affair only 4 years into their marriage, long before that Charles and Camilla go together, and lie to the world about it, blame her husband for their divorce.

People need to remember that Diana was just as bad as Charles! I don’t know why people paint Charles as the evil one out of the two when it’s both who created the scandal. Charles only had an affair with one woman, the woman he truly loved but Diana has affairs with everyone! Especially people who worked for her strangely.

It's funny how still people think Charles is the only villain... Nd Diana was an innocent pure soul... I get bashed by people when I bring out the truth of Diana... They claim they have done their research now I know what's their source of research: The Crown! 😂

We’ve recently seen his angry explosive side recently. If he doesn’t learn to conceal this, it will be his undoing and possibly the undoing of the monarchy.

This video comes across more as a fluff piece in favor of Charles sue to it now being him on the throne. The truth is that he has never been incredibly favored by the public.
