The game rounds the damage to 160, but the actual health is at 40.21, rounding down to 40. When it reaches 0.21, it rounds up to 1 to make the game more addictive.

Yes, because it's coded in decimals you might remember in chapter 2 season 2 that when you dies you would see the health in decimals of the enemy

It's a common practice in fps games to give you extra health beyond what your shown, this leads to more close calls when you live in 1hp and it makes you feel better than you are which makes you come back to the game.

A real explanation for those who really want to know the answer. Computers don't do math correctly. For example if we did 2 + 2 it would give us or something similar to that. The thing that is happening here is your leftover hp which is lower than 1.00 being rounded up to the nearest base number which is 1 because the health system is designed to show base numbers only. Example 1 instead of 1.5, 4 instead of 4.2, etc etc.
