Absolutely LOVE my 2015 Mirage DE 5 speed. Bought it in March 2016 after Mitsubishi offered $3500 off MSRP to get their old stock off the lots, making my purchase price $10, 200. Discounting for inflation that's cheaper than new Geo Metros in 1996. Mine only has 52k miles and my only complaint is a plugged heater core. Other than that, no rust, no issues, great mileage!

I bought one new and just now am approaching 100, 000 miles and haven't done a thing to it except change oil. It is also the kind of gas mileage I am averaging 49 mpg and have got as high as 60. It is an extraordinary car at a extraordinary price 5 years since I bought it and it is selling for almost as much as I gave for it so don't believe all the bad stories their competitors put out because they aren't true it is one great car.

Love cheap small cars ✊. Very few to choose from these days.

Bought my 2015 DE 5 speed new in 2016. Currently 150k miles. 2nd set of front brake, still factory rear, 4 sets of tires. So far repairs have been a cracked head @ 90k and @ 125k the timing cover gasket had a leak which did require a whole engine gasket set replacement and the water pump was leaking also. Shop said $3500 but my lifetime wrap around warranty paid the bill😁. Love this car

I bought my 2015 ES new in late 2014. Over 174, 000 miles on it now, and it has needed NOTHING other than a clutch cable at 113, 000 miles plus basic maintenance.

Best car I ever owned.

I own a 2015 CVT from new. 60.000 miles now. No issues at all. None. Great, great fuel economy. Comfy if you stay below 75 mph.

If anyone is wondering, they are reliable cars. You see bad reviews because of competition with the big companies; owner reviews are all good. I will definitely be buying one new someday.

I love that there are cars like the mirage available. The US sucks at public transportation right now.

Just got a ‘23 mirage hatch CVT & i love it. It’s got a unique personality 😊

I don't like the plastic wheel covers that come with this model; your new wheels look great! You are so smart buying and driving this economical vehicle. If you are a family man, I hope you family is proud of you for being smart about this choice.

I am on my 2nd 2017 mirage the last one and this one has the manual trans. The first one i drove a year and a half had a tad over 12, 000 the clock this man came up and offered 15, 500 for it and since i paid 9900 cash out the door new and drove 1.5 years i let him have it. last summer i found another one used for 4600 cash with 72, 000 miles on it so i bought it over the phone hopped a flight to houston tx and drove it back to bama. i am a retired ford tech and had my bate of cvt issues with the ford 500 failing around 60k i do not like the feel of no shifting, but i got to hand it to mitsubishi cause i have a friend with a 2014 mitage cvt that has surpassed 300k but it gets its cvt serviced but it gets drobe 150 miles to my home my shop and my lift because i can do it a lot cheaper than a dealer using the vavoline cvt juice. I called mitsubishi dealer a few months back and i think the manual will be history for the us market they claimed to not have one and said they could not get one, i don't know if that is true. I also have a outlander sport with a manual love it and it only has 13000 miles on it and it is a 2014.. mitsubishi needs to turbo their little gassers they could use a little more pep in their step and turbo does not effect mpg. i have owned many mitsubishi products some chrysler/dodge branded and they are to me just as good or better than a toyota and i service the piss outta my stuff.

Good review Johnny! I own a 2018 SE with 113, 000 miles on it. It's a keeper.
Also, the CVT is good. 1st automatic I've ever purchased in 67 years! Great mileage. And the revs are pretty low at cruising speeds 70-80+ mph.

The five speed is incredibly rare in the Mirage (hatch or G4). I was looking for a new 2022 (either hatch or sedan) and there are almost none anywhere in the country this summer.

It is easy on your wallet 😂

But yeah, that's the reason why I bought one.
Just wondering about the price, I am from Germany and the Mirage (named Space Star) Basic ells from 7990€ here in Germany, with 5 Years warranty. My Diamond edition has aircondition, electric windows and mirrors plus fog lights.

The dealers are so keen on selling them, that I put one of these China radio navigation systems with bluetooth for less than 100 dollar on the deskt and said that I will buy it, if they fit it into the car.

Now my mirage has bluetooth and I-Go navigation on board. I am really satisfied and glad to hear they last. Thanks for the review!

5speed will be more reliable but Mirage CVT7 holds its own if proper preventative maintenance is practiced. There is not any car out there that is better suited for a CVT due to the low torque and curb weight of the Mirage. Nissan uses the same JATCO CVT but over the years has demonstrated a much higher % rate of premature CVT failure.
