Thanks to this video it reminded me that I had Vermigli's Disputations On the eucharist on my bookshelf. I think Vermigli is seriously under appreciated and I'm glad that the Davenant institute is slowly publishing his works in english.

How is a human nature being able to having the same power as the divine nature, that is to be life-giving not exceeding the capacity of an ordinary human nature? Doesn't this run contrary to the cry of rationalism, finitum non capax infiniti?

What are your thoughts on Davenant's criticism of transubstantation in his Determinations? Do you think he accurately represents it?
