I've just passed my CPE and without your videos I would have been quite lost with this very particular exam style. So thank you very much, you are a great teacher:)

Wow I had absolutely no idea you needed to come to the test having read one of these books! Thankfully I've already read and watched About a Boy so I can just skim through the pages to freshen up my memories. Thanks for the tip!

Hi, thanks for the tips in this video, especially the timing of the prep and the writing itself. I followed it to the minute and it really paid off. I found out that the less time I spend preparing, the messier the text becomes and the more corrections it requires. Again, great advice! It helped me pass my exam with good results.

Hello, are you certain that it's necessary to write about the books/films listed on the Cambridge website? As it states there:

Candidates should not attempt the optional set text question in Part 2 unless they have the necessary understanding of the text to answer the task. If you read one of the set books and want to write about it, you may decide to try Question 5. You have a choice of two tasks, 5(a) or 5(b) for this question. You may have to write an article, essay, letter, report or a review.

It seems as it's entirely optional as of now. I have the CPE Exam on Saturday, and I haven't really prepared for it prior, so having to consume literature on top of that seems like an impossible task.

I wish I'd known about those super rigid marking criteria before sitting the exam. I produced what must have been the best texts of my life: impeccable, elegant, high-flying, but got only 60%. Very very very very very frustrating.

Thank you so much for the tips! Though i've really tried hard i couldn't find the books that you're talking about at 2:30. Could you probably share a link to them?

May be a stupid question, but how did yall keep track of word counts for your answers?
Should you individually count words once you're done and slightly alter your answer if you're above/below the threshold? I can't imagine having the time to do that....
Does the computer automatically keep track of word count for you, if you're taking the computer based exam?
Thanks

Hi Ben, great videos! Truly insightful and indeed to the point.
Just one question, why are the recommended books by country? Any recommendation for Uruguayan ss? Thank u!

So for part 2 you can basically just prepare one of the 4 texts? Like the article for example?

Oh, gosh. I have the exam on Saturday and haven't had much time to prepare. Where can I see which are the books that can be read in advance?
