I’m stunned at Catholics who automatically assume they and their loved ones are automatically in heaven and therefore don’t pray for them. I also think the replacement of funeral masses for the dead with “celebrations of life” is so wrong it must’ve demonic

I'd be more apt to take Protestants seriously if they could agree with themselves. Get your roof built before you try to tear mine down. The biggest crime committed by Protestants is when they find a vulnerable soul and tell them, "Just repeat after ME and you will go to Heaven." Fr. August always said, "When a Protestant asks me if I'm "saved", I say, "I'm working on it."" No amount of smiles, hugs, and outright attacks will pull me from Christ's church! Pray for the conversation of all the Protestors, I mean Protestants.

Suffering in purgatory is so intense 1second in purgatory feels like 8 hours, 1day feels like a century and 1week feels like 7century of suffering. Let us work out our salvation with fear and trembling.

I want to say that I just came off the interstate to type this. I just brought children to my daughter from my 1st marriage. Her and 2 brothers burying their dad Sat. After a year of marriage, come to find out our maid of honor at the altar 4 months pregnant with his child. I had a Catholic wedding. So, I stayed for our 3 kids and 5 years of cheating. Then for years he tried to kill me and subsequently new husband.
But, here I am praying for his soul.

Some of you are thinking, "well that's a stupid example, I wouldn't steal a package of cigarettes." Remember, sin isn't just "what I have done" but also, "what I have failed to do." All of us surely fall into that bucket. Even with confession, very very few of us are leaving this world perfectly clean.

Purgatory, and the veneration of the Blessed Virgin Mary and the Saints were concepts I never even heard of before I started studying Catholicism. I converted from Protestantism in 2022.

We should all be so lucky to go to Purgatory. That means we are saved and being purged of our wickedness.

There is no purgatory. The Lord does not do anything though half-measures. Purgatory does not exist, and is an affront to the sacrifice of Jesus who became sin and died for us.
Moreover, purgatory is proven to not exist by Jesus' own words at the cross to the thief. "Today you will be with me in paradise." Not, "Today you will be in purgatory for a period of time until you are cleansed of your sins, and THEN you will be with me in paradise." The dirty secret of Catholicism, and something I wasn't taught in my 50 years in the church was that when you die, if you are in Christ, all your sins are forgiven and you are given a NEW HEART that CAN NEVER SIN AGAIN. The idea of purgatory is based on the thesis that Jesus' blood was not enough and that you still have to "pay" for your sins after death. The tying of Macabees and the traditions of the Jews at and before that time period has no correlation and is a huge stretch. If anything, the idea of a purgatory goes back to SHEOL, which was emptied when Jesus died, which was in place prior as the "holding area" for those who had died. But there was a clear line of demarcation of those who were died serving God and those who had not. There was no purgatory in Sheol of those "still working things out."

Our Lady Mary The Very Mother Of God Has Been Appearing All Over The World And Asking People To Pray For All The Souls In Purgatory. Our Many Saints The Lord Jesus Allowed Them To Go To Purgartory while They Were Here On Earth To Prove To Us The Living That There ls A Purgartory. There Are Catholics Who Are Still Alive Today Who Have Been To Purgartory. Thanks Be To God For The Catholic Church. I Am Sure There Are Billions Of Protestants Who Are Crying Out From Purgartory For Prayers. I Am So Blessed To Be A Catholic. Praise Be To God. Amen Amen and Amen.

I have to comment because I face this daily. I agree "protestantism is stupid" am done arguing with them. Once they know there's no salvation outside the Catholic Church my conscience is clear and my job is done.
