The Roush Collection in Livonia Michigan is home to all things significant to automotive and racing icon Jack Roush! Here you will find everything from the early Gapp & Roush NHRA drag racing days, 24 hours of Daytona car driven by Paul Newman, NASCAR cars, and Ford Concept vehicles like the 2004 Ford GT test mule! Historian Tyler Wolfe takes us into the private storage areas with iconic driver suits, crew uniforms, Jack's personal hat stash, and new old stock merchandise. Jack's daughter Susan Roush McClenaghan shows us some of the drag racing cars of her father's early days and the private workshop with her current supercharged NMRA Mustangs, one of which runs on propane! We also get a special cameo from Mark Martin himself telling the story of chassis JR17, his innovative road course Thunderbird from the 1990s! The car itself is still in original condition from the Suzuka Japan NASCAR race in 1997!

My mother in law was one of Jack’s nurses at UAB when he had his plane crash. I asked her to get an autograph or a photo and she was adamant she would NOT. He was her patient, not a celebrity. She wouldn’t even talk to family about his injuries. Honorable woman. She passed from Covid in December 2020.

When Mr. Roush was Drag Racing, he sold one of his Pintos to some guy named Glidden. That guy was extremely successful in his Drag Racing too.

Jack Roush is one of those people where you could ask a handful of people who he is and get a different answer every time! When I hear the Roush name, I will always think of Mark Martin in that 6 car... What do YOU most associate Jack Roush with?

Met Jack Roush at a sponsor event at New Hampshire. We would get tickets to sponsor gigs at several tracks from our family business through our suppliers/manufacturers.

Jack was pure business, had no interest in small talk, he had plugs to read and engineers to speak to. I was blown away when I realized he was the size of a graden gnome. 😂

I was at a Ford sponsored school back in 04 in Allen Park across from the Lions training center.
-There was a Roush building and one day they were giving joy rides in the parking lot for Employee families in a development Ford GT. They had to climb through the drivers side, in primer black car taped up windows.
-Really cool times with the SVT program and the GT at the time

Thank you!!!

Mark finished in second and third so many times in cup points, that I still consider him a champion. 🏆

That unwelded carb spacer may have changed the history of Nascar forever

Dude, that was so cool!
With reference to the Boss 9 (Jacks favorite car) his daughter referenced the Boss 9 out at Nowakowski's, Ed was the person responsible for doing the restoration on that car. Ed Nowakowski used to race a 71 mustang that Jack built the motors for, Ed won a lot of trophy's with that car as well. I forwarded your video on to him. Ed is not doing very well these days, but is a fighter all the way and a good friend too. Thanks for sharing, Jack is the man !!

As someone who loves GT40s and GTs its wild to see a mockup like that one. I love how from a distance it looks IDENTICAL to a production GT but then with the close up you can start to see all the details that were removed such as the Gurney Bubble and the side amber lights.

The Strohs car was always my favorite #6 car. Susan's Cougar with the cammer engine is awesome, it's just a badass, beautiful ride!

My favourite modern-ish car is the first generation Ford GT, just love the design and the sound it makes. Growing up in the UK, I only really got into NASCAR in the mid 2000's and looking back the Roush Fords had some nice looking paint schemes and were very very fast

I love this place. I live in Northville which is just the next city over where Jack lives. I’ve been in here numerous times and it’s fantastic. I live in Florida during the winter and one time I came up for Christmas and the woman that was in front office area let my father and I in stroll around. It was just a few days before Christmas and the place was closed. I wanted to show my father the collection and they welcomed us inside to look around for about 40 minutes. Jack Roush gave me my very first job as a pre-teen in the 1980’s sweeping out the shop where he was building cars before he got into NASCAR. I’d love to have that glass table there with the engine base. That thing is awesome!!

I myself as new, owned a 1986.5 Mustang SVO. I loved that car! The boost was SO addictive, esp. with the 5-speed manual.

I'm in the Cleveland area. Have to go up to Livonia at some point. My dad's family have always been blue oval loyalists to this day, and I was raised on the COT 99 of Carl Edwards.
