Poison Ivy can grow anywhere and can give you a nasty rash. If you spend a lot of time outdoors, you or your children might encounter poison ivy. Avoid poison ivy while outdoors by knowing how to identify the plant and wearing long pants and shirts. Poison ivy causes allergic reactions to humans including itchy, painful rash and blisters. To treat poison ivy rashes, scrub the area with soap, apply calamine lotion, wash clothes. You may choose to use a topical steroid. For more severe exposures, a visit to your doctor may be necessary. I never got hit by poison Ivy, Maybe i'm immune. Still always watching out for it and never touching.
