Degreaser also helps too, I've worked in poison ivy clearing it on my property and I can say for sure that spraying all of your tools with Degreaser after coming in contact with poison ivy helps so when you touch the tools again you don't get it.

I’m an arborist, but we keep a bottle of this at the shop at all times. I suggest picking up a bottle of oral ivy as well.

The oil is the culprit. Scrub it off throughly. I mean very very very thoroughly., ..Dawn dishwashing detergent works well. I used Octagon soap too.
